You will be amazed at how fast your pool takes shape and moves toward completion. We usually begin the process of building your pool within three weeks of signing the contract. We start by securing all necessary building permits and calling in a "line locate" (to mark the location of any underground lines on your property near where your swimming pool will be built). After that the pool is promptly formed, dug, and constructed. 

 

Here is a basic breakdown of building events:

• Day 1- The hole is formed and dug.

 

• Day 2- Steel reinforcement is installed (all of our gunite pools are reinforced with 3/8" rebar on 10" centers).

 

• Day 3- Gunite is shot.

 

• Week 2- Plumbing, coping and tile are installed.

                                                                     

• Week 3- Deck is formed, with steel reinforcement and electrical bond. After city inspection, deck is poured.

 

• Week 4- Pool equipment is set. Pool is plastered, filled with water, and begins circulating. (Pool is started on chlorine for first two weeks, as it takes 2 weeks for plaster to cure, and adding salt now may cause plaster to become rough).

 

• Week 5- Acrylic, nonskid Spray Deck top coat is applied to deck.

 

• Week 6- We conduct a "Pool School" on site, showing you how to use and maintain your pool.  Pool is now ready for swimmers!

 

The time table shown above is typical, for most of our pool construction projects. However, the  time may vary on an individual job, depending on bad weather or other circumstances.
